Some of you already know – Andrew and I have already had 1/2 of our Christmas.
My parents and brother came into town over a week ago (Dec 10-12) and we did Christmas with them that weekend.
I got an email from Andrew on Friday about 3p saying that my parents were already here [...]

Last week Andrew and I made a trip down to Burbank for a little Christmas shopping …. We stopped by IKEA and the $1 bookstore to browse.
The $1 bookstore selection was a bit disappointing – the price point makes up for it, though.
Since we were looking [...]
OK. Not ALL.
I also would like GLEE Season 1, a Roomba and a Dutch oven.
But when I think about what I would spend extra money on (if I had it) the answer is not really those things. I always first think of something somehow related to traveling.
I think Andrew and I [...]
Thankful for this boy ….
Thankful for 5 years together and photos to commemorate…
Thankful for turkey today and breakfast with friends tomorrow … .
Thankful for warm blankets and Netflix live streaming …
Thankful for books to read and love….
Last Thursday Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 premiered in theaters.
And I took the day off. Yes. Yes I did.
And – lucky me – Andrew got the day off too …

Team Schubert has an anniversary tradition.
Read more about it on this post from last year.
This year (2010, our 5th anniversary) we took photobooth photos at the booth in the lobby of the ACE Hotel in Palm Springs when we were there in September.
We’re kind of super in love …. and took [...]
Team Schubert is working on a new project.
We’re working on getting Andrew’s new site up and at ‘em ….

He works in a studio – for another engineer – but does as much on-the-side recording work as he can get.
He’s been making [...]
Our anniversary is officially tomorrow, but since we did our portrait shoot in August and a weekend away in September, none of you will mind if I use my Friday post this week to blog a Happy Anniversary to my boy, right?

One of my favorite things is finding easy ways to make Andrew think I’m the coolest wife ever.
Here’s the newest one:
Andrew really (really) loves to fall asleep to movies.
I, on the other hand, like to sleep. A lot. So we don’t have a TV in our bedroom any more.
But on [...]
Andrew and I have a tradition. We ONLY watch scary movies during October. And we don’t watch them any other time of the year. …
The last couple years around July or so we’ve started getting really excited about October. Adding new movies to our Netflix queue….
This year we watched Cemetery Man to [...]
The last couple years Andrew and I have established our new favorite family tradition: during the month of October we watch ONLY scary movies. In fact, we don’t watch scary movies at any other time of the year. Only in October.
I’d like to think that we’re spreading the joy – we’ve had several [...]
