One of Andrew’s favorite things that we got from his great-grandfather is this record player and sound system.
He uses it every day without fail.
Andrew could tell you more about the specs, details, quality, etc.
All I can tell you is how happy Andrew was to play a record loudly on those speakers for the first time ….

These are some of the AMAZING pieces of jewelry I got from Andrew’s great-grandpa.
And these are the pieces that were left after everyone else went through it.
Honestly, I’m surprised there were any left at all.
I am so inspired to go scouring Goodwills and vintage/antique stores. I want to be like Linda that way. Or I just want Linda to go shopping for me…. either way.
Papa allowed me to go through the jewelry and also gave me a bunch of scarves – I’m totally gonna bring back the scarf.

One day, when Julie and her in-laws were almost done cleaning out Papa’s house, she came home with a big box for me.
This I thought strange, since Andrew and I had already ‘claimed’ which belongings of Papa’s we really wanted and didn’t want to take advantage.
But what Julie had brought me was soooo perfect for me, I can’t believe it.
Papa had this set of books. All ‘Complete Works of…’. All the same/matching binding. All years and years old.
And really, who else in the family would get so excited about books …

Lovely heavy tablecloths. I don’t even know if I own any legitimate tablecloths …

Some of these sheets remind me of my childhood – the yellow flowers.
Plus there’s something about vintage sheets that keeps them so soft.
I’m tempted to keep an eye out to start quilting with vintage sheets…. how cozy would that be?
