I’m not ready!
I’m not ready I’m not ready I’m not ready!!
I realize, as you’re reading this we’re ALREADY in Scotland …. but that doesn’t mean I’m ready.
We have our passports. … So that’s something. Thank goodness.
We have suitcases … since we got them for Alaska. It was a bit of a pain in Italy to have a BIG suitcase and a little one, but we changed hotels 2x in a week. Since we’ll be staying all week in Scotland in one place, it will be a bit more manageable.
We have a tentative itinerary … Although, it’s just tentative. And just 2 days ago my mother informed me that she may not participate in one of the days I have planned. Whatever.
Also my mother has assured me she has maps…. .so I’m not going to worry about that.
As of the typing of this we have still not done laundry or packed. But clearly we WILL before we leave.
I have my Rick Steves Scotland travel guide. I have 2 other books to take/read on the plane. …. Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell and A Traveller’s History of Scotland. Nerdy? Why, yes I am.
We have our Scotland travel journal … empty at the moment, of course. But I’m *hoping* with all the driving to our day trips around the country I’ll make more time to actually write/fill the travel journal while we are on the road.

What else?
I have film for all the cameras I’m going to take …. I have my camera batteries charged…. I have my memory cards cleared. I likely don’t have enough memory on my computer harddrive to EMPTY those memory cards when we get back …. but that’s a problem to be solved another time.
I have my blogs all scheduled for the week+ we’re gone.
I have an extra day-off from the day job planned for when we get back …. to do laundry, grocery shopping, etc.
What else do we need? Ok. What else do I need?
I need to get my head in the game!
