Alaska itinerary

If you want to play along … . Below is our rough itinerary for our Alaska trip … See you in a week+!

Sunday

  • Wake up at 4a
  • drive to Burbank airport by 6a
  • flight at 7a; land in Seattle at 930a
  • get coffee and hang out in the airport until Katie and Julie can pick us up (an hour? more?)
  • check-in and board the ship sometime after 12p
  • check out room and balcony, relax, explore, relax. … nap?
  • dinner on board 815p

Monday

  • wake up whenever we want
  • coffee and breakfast on our balcony
  • day at sea
  • photos
  • explore
  • read
  • relax
  • lunch wherever we want
  • relax
  • read
  • photos
  • dinner on board 815p

Tuesday

  • Disembark in Ketchikan, Alaska, sometime after 6:30a
  • explore town
  • possible snorkeling
  • back on the ship for lunch?
  • possible hiking
  • possible other guided exploration
  • back on the ship by 4p
  • relaxing
  • dinner on board 815p

Wednesday

  • wake up whenever we want
  • coffee and breakfast on our balcony
  • enjoy the view during our scenic cruising up Tracy Arm Fjord
  • lunch on board
  • disembark in Juneau, Alaska 2p
  • Visit Mendenhall Glacier
  • possible sea plane or helicoptering over the glaciers
  • dinner on board 815p

Thursday

  • disembark in Skagway, Alaska sometime after 6a
  • explore town
  • check out micro-breweries
  • find a guided tour up to the Yukon pass
  • photos of waterfalls, historic graveyards and other fun stuff
  • back on the ship by 5p
  • dinner on board 815p

Friday

  • wake up whenever we want, with coffee and breakfast on our balcony
  • day at sea reading and relaxing
  • nap
  • reading
  • relaxing
  • dinner on board 815p

Saturday

  • wake up whenever we want, hang out on the balcony
  • day at sea reading and relaxing. Probably re-packing
  • nap, etc
  • disembark in Victoria, BC sometime after 7p
  • no idea what we can do in town at this time of night. Especially since our dinner on board is at 815p. We’ll see.
  • back on board by midnight

Sunday

  • disembark early in Seattle
  • somehow fill our day in Seattle without a car and WITH some luggage
  • be at the airport by 630p
  • flight
  • get home around 10p
  • sleep

(and then I don’t have to be at work til Wednesday!)
