Our couch is super fantastic.
- It’s solid. Not IKEA. I expect the frame to last us forever.
- It’s local. Look at us being all green and eco-friendly and responsible to our community (totally on accident, by the way. We found a couch we loved and were pleasantly surprised that the manufacturer was in L.A. so it’d only take 2 weeks to receive).
- killer warranty. By this awesome local furniture business that we will gladly buy from again.
- Very mid-century modern style. Straight lines. not over stuffed. visible legs (none of those ‘skirts’ that our mothers’ couches have)
- really long. You could fit 5 normal size people on it if you had to. Not too squished. Long enough for Andrew’s 6′ tall brother to sleep on comfortably. It’s like a twin bed when you take off the back cushions.
- The fabric that we picked out … love it. THEN, when we told the salesman which we were getting he said, “Oh yea, that’s a good one. I just did a bunch of couches for a TV show and they picked that fabric. Have you heard of ‘Mad Men’?” !! so, now every episode of Mad Men we watch, I have to look for my couch fabric.
I realize after typing all that that I sound like a crazy person. But I’m REALLY excited about having a couch that I LOVE and that is not a hand-me-down.
Feel free to come visit my couch any time

I definitely slept on the couch the 3 nights you were out-of-town, really comfortable.
No way. That can’t be true about #6!! I just returned Season 3 to the library or I would look for that fabric! You don’t sound at all crazy to me that you love your couch.
you guys live in Encino? which part? I can’t take it here anymore. Encino is one of the areas we’re looking into. How do you guys like it there?
I want your couch!!!!!
