A SERIOUS appliance. Not like a toaster or a blender.
We BOUGHT A NEW REFRIGERATOR.
This is huge, guys.
We are FULLY COMMITTED to this marriage now.
When we first went apartment hunting, we realized we were going to need to buy a refrigerator. For the first time in our 4.5 year marriage. For the first time in the almost 8 years since I first moved out of my parents house.
Luckily, now that we’re grown-ups, we have a friend who works for Pacific Sales and knows more about home appliances than we do.
The actual fridge-shopping was pretty painless. We measured the space, went to Lowe’s to take a look at what was available and narrow down the features that we wanted/needed, checked out prices.
Then we just told Fernando what we were looking for and he found it for us.
And then a few days later it was delivered.
If only all major purchases could be this easy.
We ended up with a Frigidaire. Stainless steel. Freezer on top. Not terribly wide, but as tall as we could find in this width.
I wanted to make sure there was plenty of freezer space.
Although, since it’s been about 2 years since we’ve had a real fridge of any kind, I’m not yet used to buying that much food. So the fridge and freezer are still pretty empty.
But, this week we bought ICE CREAM! Just because. Because we now have a freezer to put it in.
Since we’re grown-ups and all.
How very cool. You really lucked out with having a friend like Fernando. You’d be amazed at how long you might actually have that same refrigerator. The title of this post was so funny!

They look the same inside but mines white/metal on the outside. Good eye though!
