our very low-key Valentine’s Day

Just a quick Saturday note to tell you about our Valentine’s Day last weekend.

Woke up.

Read. Vegged. Intenet/email.

I think we had leftovers for lunch.

BBC Yellowstone Documentary.

more reading.

Trip to Trader Joe’s (decision: Andrew and I should not go grocery shopping together)

When we get home, Andrew puts on “romantic” music ….. or, rather just something I don’t hate.

Then he made us some caprese salad (and added prosciutto).

(um, yea, also, we got cheap cupcakes from Ralph’s because I have been craving butter cream frosting)

yum!

It was so so delicious!

tomato + basil + mozzarella + prosciutto (in case you want to try recreating it).

And then that night we went to a Daniel Lanois concert.

And that is what Valentine’s Day is like for Team Schubert. Boring. Relaxing. Low-key.

and I love it.

  • I had a great Valentine’s Day, I think the less traditional type of stuff I have to do the more I enjoy it.
Thanks for making it special girl!
    bauw!

  • How sweet! The important thing about Valentine’s Day is just making each other the priority and doing what you both enjoy doing. Sounds like a wonderful day.

  • Now I officially want cupcakes. errg

  • I’m curious as to why you guys shouldn’t grocery shop together! I know my boyfriend and I can neverrr go to Wal-Mart together because it brings out the worst in us and we always end up leaving mad, haha. Between the people, the line ups and all that STUFF, plus trying to maintain some sort of semblance of a budget… just not pretty.

Yayy, looked special. I don’t take Beth with me to the store either..Well, mostly because if I did, we would end up spending like $50 more than normal. That’s how it always goes. And I love pictures of food, looks tasty
