How the Grinch Stole Christmas
One of the reasons I love living in Los Angeles is all the quality theater around. (not that we can afford to go to the theater near as often as I would like, but …. )
But! We have a certain family member who likes to do family things with us that involve the theater …
One more reason you should all be jealous that I have the best mother-in-law …
So, a week or so ago Julie had bought all of us (as in all 8 of us – Andy, Julie, Andrew, Amy, Katie, Joe, Daniel and Jenae) tickets to see the holiday musical How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Pantages theater in Hollywood.
{of course, Andrew had to work, as usual. But Julie’s niece Amanda came instead}
No photos allowed in the theater, but you can see images from an earlier cast here …
Couple things that made it so fun:
- John Larroquette played ‘Old Max’ (who also functioned as a narrator)
- The actor playing the Grinch was sooo so so good.
- The actor playing Grandpa Who was in Wild Party (which I love)
- The actor playing Father Who was Laurie in Little Women (which I also love)
- the audience was full of kids who were (mostly) enthusiastic
{after the show, we all went back to Andy&Julie’s for dinner}
Such a great way to get into the holiday spirit!!

It was fun!! It is still with me and I can’t wait to go back. Next year we are going to Glendale to see “A Christmas Carol”. Love you.
I also think the actor who played The Grinch was wonderful. He really did an excellent job.
Sounds like a blast.
