O.k., you're going to think I'm copying, but I've actually been thinking about doing this for several years. Crate & Barrel or Pottery Barn used to have a picture of a bed with beautiful white sheers hanging from the ceiling around it which made a sort of canopy. I LOVE the idea! Not quite as private as a fort, but kinda the same idea. I tried to find the pic, but I can't. Here are a few other pictures that kind of give you the idea of what I'm talking about...so...you can still make forts with a regular bed! Too bad about the lack of grown-up bunkbeds. If you were handy you could build a loft bed like William is. And thanks! Now I have My Best Friend's Girl stuck in my head which would be fine except that I don't really know the lyrics, so I'm all, "dancin' neath the starry skies, hum hum hum hum huuummmm, she's my best friends girl, and she used to be mine!"
