Lately I’ve been wanting to just sit down and organize and update my iTunes library. Just go through it and weed out all the junk and song repeats. Make sure all the artwork is attached to the correct releases. Eventually I would like to have all of the Schubert Family cd’s on there…..but we have over 2,000 cd’s and most of them are in storage so it’ll take a lot of work. And a lot of HD space as well. Plus there are about a million cd’s that I’ve copied from other people….yikes, it’s gonna be a project.
But I’ve been burning a lot of cd’s for people, and it would be awesome to just have it all in one place. And it’s kinda cool to go to an artist and have about 30 of their releases and all related singles etc. I know, I know, I’m somewhat of a completist when it comes to music and records. I think I’m just constantly searching for that next perfect song, or some obscure album cut, b-side, whatever….I’m sure it’s out there.
And it would be so much easier to quickly burn a friend some awesome mixes if all my music was in one place. I think I need a TB external hard drive for starters. And then I can import all my music and change all the genre tags to record label tags…..yep.
Also, does anyone have any discs they want burned?

Sorry, I can’t find a picture of this record. But it’s a wonderful 7″. I should make a mixtape from all these great seven inches and make copies for all my friends.

Josh and I have probably 400 or so CDs sitting on a shelf in our closet that we still need to import which I know is nothing compared to your 2,000 but it still seems like it will take soooo much time I will never get it done.
And I really need to organize my itunes library too. Although I’m sure I don’t have a quarter of what you have it still seems like a daunting task.

Personal Theme Song: Obviously it’s Rod Stewart’s “Maggie May,” or maybe it’s The Beatles “Maggie Mae,” or Bob Dylan’s “Maggie’s Farm.” It’s really hard to say. There are a lot of songs about me! hahaha!
