Four years married, what should we do?

25 October 2009 by Andrew 7 Comments

Question.  Amy and I have our 4-year marriage anniversary coming up on November 6th.  What should we do?  Any fun ideas?  It’s on a Friday which means that Amy will be working for sure around 12:30 and I’ll probably have to work sometime that afternoon and definitely on Saturday.

So not too many plans for the actual day.  But what do y’all think would be fun?  I mean, if one of your suggestions gets enough positive comments/feedback/whatever, Amy and I will probably have to do it or we’ll risk being ridiculed by our fellow marrieds and bloggers and friends and family and coworkers.  Or no one will care, I can’t remember.

Any fun, odd, crazy ideas out there?

Well, definately find a photo booth again. I like that tradition you started. How about Sky diving? My friend took his girlfriend sky diving for her birthday and they loved it. Maybe that’s too crazy.

Joel and I got Disneyland passes for the year as our gift to each other for our 4 year anniversary. You guys actually live in CA and can get cheaper passes! Plus, I know Amy loves Disneyland. And with passes you only need to go a few hours at a time or go and just people watch! And right now its decorated with such fun little details!

So it took me a little while to think of this, but I know you are looking for some history right now Andrew so I suggest breakfast in Old Town Pasadena followed by a tour of the Gamble House: http://www.gamblehouse.org/index.html I’ve been wanting to go for years, but still haven’t been.

You can also look at the LA Conservancy for walking tours of historic LA:

Their website isn’t working right now so I couldn’t check the schedules for you.
