Etcetera

  • (keep in mind I missed a week of the internet, so some of these links/etc may seem ‘old’)
  • I feel like I missed out on all the news
  • we know an estate planner if you need one (and everyone should need one at least once in their lives)
  • I love my cute hubby so much
  • I want to make a fort and use it for a photo shoot … any takes? Daniel&Jenae??
  • President Obama won a Nobel Peace Prize.
  • Seems a bit premature, but it is nice to have the world recognize our president
  • How often are those awards given out? Every year? Or just when they feel someone deserves it?
  • foodie blog …. I might need to try some of these recipes
  • like this one and this one and this one
  • I can’t wait til I have a real kitchen again … with an actual oven. I’ll bake/make quiche/etc for weeks …
  • and then we’ll finally have room for the bread machine Angela got us for a wedding gift
  • and then Andrew can have toast all the time :)
  • How difficult would it be to make a rag rug? Like out of all Andrew’s old shirts that he tears up?
  • I love that Google is digitizing books. I actually did some research for a graduate class once from a rare book on Google.
  • Weird that we have to ‘catch-up’ on TV shows that we missed while out of town. It’s been a long time since I’ve had more than 1 TV show I like to watch
  • Luckily, 2 of them (Glee and The Office) are available online for weeks afterward, so I may watch them at my leisure.
  • If I said it once I’ve said it a million times. My friend James has the coolest job.
  • Anyone know any pick-your-own farms in the area? Maybe at Pierce College?
  • Italy was amazing – as you can probably guess.
  • It was nice to come home to non-espresso coffee, though
  • ugh. Laundry
  • Andrew and I play a game when we’re out where we ‘call’ mustaches that we see …. extra points for walrus or women mustaches.
  • In Italy we learned how to say mustache in Italian …. so now we call ‘baffi’
  • holiday plans! It’s almost November …and then December and Christmas!

  • We’re coming up on Wed night and were thinking of going to Knott’s Scary Farm on Thursday night and then going up to Santa Clarita on Friday morning. Dusty wants to go fishing off of a pier in Santa Barbara. Don’t know what you guys have planned but was thinking we could get together before Saturday… If not. I’ll see you Saturday.

Love the picture, for some reason the Italy pictures bring tears to my eyes. The buildings are so gorgeous.
When the kids were little we went up Bouquet Cyn. somewhere and picked pears. Paid by the bucketful I think. It was fun. I will research it more if you want.
I hope you don’t ever count my mustache in your little game. It’s just always a problem.
Rag rugs are very easy to make. I will help you if you want.
    Welcome home!!

  • Jenae

LETS MAKE A FORT! I am totally all for that idea.

  • Jenae

Ohhhh AND Daniel and I also call out mustaches. I didn’t finish reading the post all the way…probably should have so I could make one comment, but I had to say something about the fort first before I forgot and I REALLY want to make a fort. (if you can’t tell I really liked the fort idea a lot, I’m like 5, but it’s ok) Oh and I had coffee so I’m SUPER hyper..hahah.

p.s. I really enjoyed this Etcetera and Daniel and I can’t wait until we get to see you guys and blab blab blab about your time in Italy.

  • Thanks for the shout out Amy!!

And to clarify everyone needs a good estate planning attorney throughout their lives, one who will create the right plan for them and then continue to work with them and make sure that their plan always reflects their current needs and assets as their life and family grow and change.

Hahaha, oh man I’m such a lawyer!

  • Aunt Susan and Grandma Irish just told us about Glee, so we’re recording it this week. Not sure if Dad will like it, but it sounds good to me. Are you going to have time to see Grandma while she’s there? I think Debbie Ireland knows about some U-pick-it farms in So Cal.

The rag rug looks easy, but I’ve never tried one. I think you can also crochet a rug that comes out looking very similar to the braided kind.

  • Uncle Ted

I’m going way out on a limb here…to predict that Terry will NOT like “Glee.” If I have problems with it (and I DO!), then it’s probably not Terry’s cup o’ tea. (Save yourself, Terry!)

    Isn’t Andrew the BEST???
