  • Leaving for Idaho tomorrow. Haven’t been there since 2005. I am fairly certain we won’t have internet, so I’ll answer any emails when we return.
  • Taking 4 cameras with me. True story.
  • I need 2 computers. One for photo-editing, and one for watching Netflix ‘watch it now’ while I am editing.
  • Listening to the Moonglows (love!)
  • Watching ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’
  • Lesley Gore makes me happy
  • I may have been born about 40 years too late …
  • But I am LOVING all the 60s-reminiscent styles coming out in fashion lately.
  • My brother is one of my favorite people
  • Happy Anniversary to Josh and Maggie, Betsy and Justin, and Christian and Avalon — all celebrated their wedding anniversaries this past weekend (5, 4 and 2 years, I think).
  • there are not enough hours in the day
  • craving pancakes
  • Spencer hung out at out house the other night … he’s really starting to remind me of Kevin
  • My favorite restaurant in the area is closed Sundays – lame for our days off together!
  • Ed Helms on Conan and part 2- I LOVE Ed Helms …. love him. I’ve loved him since his very first scene on the Office and he said his a capella group was called “Here Comes Treble”
  • I like the word moniker
  • Kinda fun – my friend Linda’s dad/family profiled by John Deere (read about Linda’s take here)
  • Wait til you see the pics I took recently …. Can’t wait to show y’all.
  • Andrew is so great about making me food when he’s home. He takes good care of me
  • He came home the other day talking about how we only need 1 acre of land to grow enough food to support ourselves. … you know. Just an acre. In L.A. … right.
  • Personally, I find cultural studies fascinating. Which is why I find social media fascinating. Which is why I think you should read this interview w/ Rainn Wilson that is kind of Twitter-heavy. But I understand if you don’t
  • Thinking about starting a new project. You know – cause that’s just what I need.
  • Got a new camera bag that is the size of a suitcase. Hopefully this will last me a while.
  • I’ve been meaning to try out a canvas vendor or 2 for my wedding photography – but I want a really good pic of me and Andrew so I can hang the sample before I have a real office …. Maybe while we’re in ID
  • “Days may be cloudy or sunny. We’re in or we’re out of the money. But I’m with you always – I’m with you rain or shine”

  • Amy, thank you so much for the John Deere story link. That story could not have come out at a better time… as we grapple with my Dad in a nursing home. It sure lifted our spirits to take that little trip down memory lane… and remember my Dad’s love of John Deere.

Oh man–seriously–your brother is so creative! I totally remember his “butter” costume in high school, and I still re-read his story from Lit Mag 2006 on occassion because it always makes me laugh.

Another story–one year he “signed” my yearbook by drawing a picture of a shoe.

Spencer reminds me of Kevin ALL the time. And sometimes I think it’s a good thing…while at others, I wonder: do we REALLY need 2 of them???

  • kevin

let’s be honest, when could that EVER be a good thing?

  • The Ed Helms clips were great. How much do you wanna bet that he eventually gets into some kind of musical career, whether serious or comedic. He does have a nice voice.
