Our inheritance – 2

22 June 2009 by Amy 3 Comments

Another fun thing we got from Papa’s house was this big stack of linens …

linens-1

Lovely heavy tablecloths. I don’t even know if I own any legitimate tablecloths …

Some of these sheets remind me of my childhood – the yellow flowers.

Plus there’s something about vintage sheets that keeps them so soft.

I’m tempted to keep an eye out to start quilting with vintage sheets…. how cozy would that be?

I don’t even know what size the sheets are, but I wanted them.

This is a square table cloth … or not-so-soft baby blanket. Who knows. …. who cares, really!?

linens-5

And these!

Hand embroidered dish towels …

awesome.

Oh. My. Gosh. Your vintage sheets are so cool! I have this insane collection of vintage sheets and pillow cases and I don't think I have your pattern. Aren't they the best… so silky, fluffy soft. They don't make em like they used to. In fact, I only sleep on vintage sheets. I especially love sleeping on the pillow cases. My tactile Tyler always tells me how much he loves his pillow cases. Ha!

Very fun! I like the green tablecloth. The cowboy pattern would be fun to use for curtains or a wall hanging or quilt top for a little boys room some day.

    What's the blue plaid one?

Did you know that I have a bunch of vintage handkerchiefs that belonged to Trish P's mom?
