After Miranda found me at Trafalgar, and after we had dinner …. it was about time to go down to Parliament for our 2nd walking tour (I LOVED these. Read this post to find out more).
We were walking down Whitehall, and as we got farther down … kind of past #10 Downing street … the road appeared to be blocked. No idea why. Unclear if there was a car accident, or if the Prime Minster was on his way home or what ….
… As we got closer we started to hear … loud yelling? chanting? noise …
Whitehall was blocked because the Tamil Tigers had started Day 1 of their protest outside Parliament ….
It was crowded and loud and just amazing to be near …
We hung out there for a bit … just watching and listening … getting some photos.
A man stopped protesting to take his little boy to the bathroom at a nearby shop…. the coffee place right on this block had a HUGE line … we even saw 2 Tamils carrying between them a big vat of coffee/tea/something hot in one of those corporate-industrial coffee pots. …
Pretty interesting.
We still had some time to kill, so we walked back over to Westminster Abbey (closed by this time of night) for some pics …
Just for fun.

could you have picked a cooler backdrop for a photoshoot than that door!
Yeah, love the door and the girls in front of it. Maybe we can get one for the house.
