Breaking news!

This special Sunday post is brought to you to announce a major milestone in Andrew’s life.

His most exciting day ever (he says).

He won’t blog about it, so I have to.

Andrew now has his first engineering credit of his career – on the new Green Day album: 21st Century Breakdown

Honestly – Green Day for his first credit? That is huge …

Andrew said, “I’m just super excited that my first engineering credit is on a project by a band that has meant a lot to me for 15 years.”

(You may not be able to read it, but Andrew’s name is the last one in the 9th ‘paragraph’)

What is really cool is that Andrew overheard the band’s management/etc talking to Chris about how there wasn’t room for all those names … But then the night before the CD came out (Thursday night), Chris called the boys into the control … to show them the pre-sale. With their names on it.

I guess Chris made a special call to the powers-that-be to push for the guys’ names on here …

Which was pretty much unnecessary and really nice of him to make the extra effort.

Andrew’s dad went (on Friday) and bought copies of the CD for everyone in the family … super nice of him. That’s what Andy does when he’s proud….

Andrew made sure to check right away on AllMusic.com to see if he’s there … AllMusic.com – his favorite, most thorough music reference site.

And then he added himself to his own list

Nerd.

And I love him.

[the ONLY thing is that I was hoping his 'professional' name would be Andrew J Schubert (like his email address and the URL I bought) but since is credit on Green Day is w/o the J I guess everything else will have to be too. P.S. Andrew, you might want to see if you can get andrewschubert@yahoo.com or andrew.schubert@yahoo.com or similar]
