Love this. I love musicals. Love them. I don’t know why this didn’t happen any of the public places I was in England … lame.
L.A. begins survey of historic buildings – excellent. I really want to know all the touristy stuff to do/see/know about in L.A. so this is so interesting to me.

since andrew works so much, when he has the morning off and doesn’t leave til noon it kind of feels like a lot of time together
Julie made all the best food over Easter weekend…. mostly for our guests. not for me. but still.
there needs to be more hours in the day for me to read everything I want to read
andrew has assured me he will be researching/learning about Italy too (not just me) before our trip
started working on my england photo album already … i want to get it done soon … before I forget all the details.

but then my mom made me doubt myself and I think I have to start over in a larger size

thinking about where we want to go on vacation next. Alaska in 2010. Probably take 2011 off from a big trip … and then? we’ll see.

april is 1/2way over. which means 2009 is almost 1/3way over… how is that possible?
when I went to Disneyland last month I got 2 new mugs for me and Andrew … different mugs but both have the London skyline in silhouette … how did that happen?
over the weekend I was playing with Hazel and she accidentally stepped on my little baby toe and cut me …. sad. And then 5 minutes later I stubbed the same toe on the leg of our bed. …. I’m kind of surprised it’s not broken.
Starting the busy time at work this week….
Andrew’s former employer is canceling their 401k program. … lame. just rotten. … makes me mad.
we’ve been eating a lot of Easter candy….

STORY:
Monday afternoon I was getting ready to leave for work – I was all alone at home – and went to grab a sweatshirt that was sitting on the window seat. …. but there were several (read: 4 or 5) bugs crawling on my sweatshirt.

Eeeew!

So, I thought maybe we had left the window open and there was a hole in the screen …… I opened the blinds and there were about 50 of these same bugs … with long wings … crawling all over the windowsill. ….

And I HAD to take care of it right away because I was leaving and there were all these bugs in the room ….

so I searched the house quickly and could not find bug spray (hey, I’ve only lived here a year and never needed it) … so I just grabbed a paper towel and killed as many as I could. …. but I had to get a couple more paper towels because there were a lot of them … and then I finally just got a roll of toilet paper because that was closer. ….

and everytime I walked away it seemed like more would appear ….
maybe they were falling off the blinds back on to the window sill? ….
but they were venturing beyond the window sill too …. crawling all over my things that I have sitting there. … paperwork, sweatshirts, black CDS, etc….

Finally, I noticed these bugs were crawling into my bedroom through a hole in the window frame!!!

I watched 2 of them crawl in! UGH! Into my bedroom!
And I had to leave!!!!

Short term solution – I couldn’t find any ducttape or similar … so I stopped up the hole with a band aid. … Luckily, right then Julie pulled up, so I could pass it off to her so I could leave for work. ….
she thinks they’re termites.
