- re: poll on right sidebar - looks like a pretty even split between the options so far. which is not helpful for me at all.
- AND – who are all the people who care more about Andrew than about my England pics? I should tell him so he’ll blog more.
- ANNOUNCEMENT - Andrew’s great-grandfather passed away last week. Very sad. He’s very missed….. but I’ll always imitate the way he greeted us, “Andrew. How the hell are ya?”
- My husband is Andrew #3 now (#5 or 6 overall, I think)
- ANNOUNCEMENT- Andrew has taken a parttime job (in addition to the 50+hours/week he works at his primary job).
- he’ll be working as an intern (read: unpaid) at a recording studio every Sunday
- which was previously our only day to have off together
- but, this is a studio that Andrew has been planning on applying to (for parttime work) ever since he moved out here (because he wants to get into recording)
- and, he actually got the position because the studio was looking through resumes from a year ago and still had his
- and, they are planning on opening a new location at the end of the year, so there’s a chance of advancement
- and, we’re young. So I’d rather we work overtime now so we can relax later in life, than the other way around.
- ANNOUNCEMENT – I currently only have 5 unscheduled Paid Time Off days for the rest of the year. And considering in 2008 I took an entire week of sick time at once, I intend to leave those 5 days for emergencies. So please don’t ask me if I can take time off work. Because I can’t. Until 2010. or until we win the lottery.
- I hope I’m never too old to love Disneyland
- Also, I need to do more people watching at Disneyland. Craaaa-zy.
- I’ve been frustrated by my lack of photo-gigs coming up, so I posted a coupled “what am I doing wrong?” questions on photographer forums … and basically the answer I got back was (in a nutshell) – ‘your website sucks and your photos are just ok’ …. soooo … to that end, I am taking down and no longer posting a photo every day over at Teegan Photography. I thought it showed consistency, they all think it shows … I dunno. Who cares?
- Via Michelle, we discovered a new food place. No locations real close to us, but totally worth the drive to get a pastrami sandwich
- This ‘Etcetera’ might be a little over-long since I added to it over the last couple weeks.
- I check my website stats ALL THE TIME. Nerd.
- Also, Michael was designing me a new website … but now he can’t. … finding other options.
- and Ryan designed me business cards … to go w/ my new logo.
- very excited.
- now, I just need some business to pay for this stuff…
- oh! and Daniel is going to hook me up w/ a lens rental for the ID wedding w/ 22 people in the wedding party.
- you guys know … there’s a very REAL possibility that the Suns won’t make the playoffs this year…
- and there is a small (but possible) chance that the Knicks will make the playoffs.
- and then (according to Henry Abbott) … NY will have to build a monument of some kind to Mike D’Antoni
- I very much enjoyed my 2 weeks off blogging … I think it may be an annual thing. Hope you don’t mind.
- last minute London planning to do. looking at train times/etc.. … not paying attn to costs. oh well.
- global recession
- plugging away at crossing stuff off my to-do list. It would go a lot faster if I had a better internet connection and a desktop computer w/ more power.
- I need more time to be creative. I don’t think it’ll happen until I quit my job …. and hire a maid.
- someday ?
- I’m really finding all this economy stuff fascinating.
- I finally bought clothes that fit me at Old Navy (spent about 3x the amnt of my gift card. sigh). … Vanity sizing drives me crazy. It does not make me feel thin to say I wear size 6 at Old Navy. … because it’s only in Old Navy sizes. It makes me feel ridiculous like I’m lying about my age.
- I’m gonna say it again – I love Ira Glass.
- Andrew and I had a mini $20 date last week. I had to pick him up at work, but one of the guys there was still working so Andrew couldn’t close up yet. So we went over to Jerry’s Famous Deli (yum) for dessert and coffee. … and conversation. Which was the best part.
- Driving through Encino made me so excited to move. … there may be nothing to do, really, in Tarzana/Encino .. but there’s a ton of interesting-looking delis/restaurants – and that’s all Andrew and I do anyway.
- Andrew’s car died and he was without it for about 3 days – so his boss let him borrow one of his ‘extra’ cars! … awesome.
- One of Miranda’s friends is gonna go touristing with us when I’m there … sucker. She has no idea what she’s in for.
- twitter …. hurrah!
- I had my 2 yr review last week. and I got a raise. Not too shabby.
- I was going to wait to do the real reveal after michael is done building my new site, but if you’ve made it this far …. my new business cards (vertical, front and back). I LOVE this. I picked them up last week, so let me know if you want a handful to distribute to everyone you know…
