You know how some women blog about cute things their kids say …. well, I’m gonna have to start blogging about funny things my husband says.
He’s pretty much crazy, and he cracks me up.
Reason #3 why I love him, actually, is that he makes me laugh.
Story 1:
The other night we were watching King Kong as we were falling asleep….
Scene with Adrien Brody comes on.
Andrew: Man, that guy is really good, isn’t he?
Me: And he’s so sexy …
….
pause
….
Andrew: I bet he has the perfect pair of pants.
Story 2:
We’re picking a movie to fall asleep to, and I start thinking of trilogies (something that we can watch over several nights)..
Me: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings …
Andrew: Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz
Me: That’s not a trilogy.
Andrew: Yea, but the trilogy is how much fun I have when I watch it! (laughing so hard he can barely finish the sentence).
Story 3:
He changes the lyrics to songs… especially when he’s in a good mood.
Singing the melody to, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” …
changing the lyrics to something about him dressing up as Santa, and kids sitting on his knee, and him making empty promises to them.
Awesome.
Story 4:
A different night, picking a movie to watch as we fall asleep. Andrew goes out to where our DVDs are and tells me he’s going to bring back a good one.
Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.
So, of course, I have to tease him. Sleeping Beauty is told from the point of view of a teenage girl. Only little girls should love this movie as much as he does.
Andrew tries to defend himself, but we’re both laughing too much to have it be effective.

Andrew: My other favorite Disney movie is The Little Mermaid.
Story 5:
This face says to me, “Holding Eleanor just reminds me that I really REALLY want a baby, but I don’t want to be too obvious about it so I’m going to give you this awkward smile.”

I love Andrew. I don’t get the whole zombie/horror flick obsession, but he’s spot on with The Little Mermaid.
