Here’s how Andrew and I celebrated our anniversary:
we hung out.
Seriously, we’re pretty easy. We don’t get a whole lot of time just the 2 of us, so that’s what we did for our anniversary.
Thursday (the actual anniversary), Andrew had off work (I didn’t) so we had all morning together.
Breakfast at Coco’s (I was really looking forward to quiche, but they didn’t seem to have it at breakfast)
A little Christmas shopping.
Back to the house for Wii
Watching Run, Fatboy, Run
Playing with Hazel
laughing a lot
Andrew got started on a new work project (separate blog later) while I went off to work.
Sunday, Andrew’s other day off in the week, we also made time together. So nice to at least have Sundays to count on seeing each other.
We had big plans that didn’t materialize.
First, lunch at Grand Panda. … mmm … haven’t had sit-down chinese food in a while.
Then – the original plan was to go to a photo booth to take pics together. A tradition we wanted to start for every anniversary. Didn’t work out so well. Andrew found one online down in the city (by the Walt Disney concert hall) and we drove around several city blocks in the area looking for parking. Neither of us wanted to pay $10 for what was going to be 1/2 an hour. We never found street parking and gave up after about 30 min. Maybe we’ll try again later in the month.
After giving up on the photo booth, we moved on to the next part of date-day– Menchie’s! By now, you should all know how much I love Menchie’s.
Back home for coffee and Friends with Andrew’s mom.
Laundry.
Reading
We each did our own thing, but together. Andrew worked on his project, I worked on burning cds for family (photos).
I went (used our gift certificates) and picked up apple cider.
Came home and A & I took Hazel for a walk.
More reading, more project, more Friends before bed.
Andrew and I are super low-key.
Partly because we like to save $$ (Ok, I like to save $), and partly because we really are best friends and make each other laugh and just enjoy hanging out together.
It was a great anniversary.
I’m so grateful to be married to this boy.
xo Andrew
(In creating this post, I just realized we didn’t get a pic of the 2 of us together. I also realized out anniversary was all about food).

you know how the old song goes. “Food will keep us together”
I love food
I need to take my left over Chinese to work today. Also, I don’t know how the old song goes, what old song?
I’m fairly certain there is a photo booth thingy in the mall.
