– My beloved Jamie Leigh is moving next weekend. Good news is she’s moving to Pacific Beach, so when I visit her I can pretend to tan. Bad news is she doesn’t have a job yet. Not that I’m worried. That girl is awesome.
– also, Andrew and I are flying through Netflix. I cannot wait until he’s in school and doesn’t have time to watch movies, so I can get whatever I want. That’s what we’re doing in reverse at the moment. Right now he’s watching Battle Royale, and expecting some movie about Morrissey later today.
– I’ve begun work on my wedding album. Which means I’ve ordered paper and pictures. But, because I have soo many pictures (not that I’m ordering all of them), I’m going to do it in phases. I’ve ordered about …. 70 photos. … what with the different sizes and shipping and all, I’ve spent about $40. … so, you see why I need to do a small chunk at a time.

– I’m reading a collection of articles about Tolkien on film. One of the articles just made me mad, and made me think the author is an idiot. for example, if you tell me you were ‘bored silly’ by Raiders of the Lost Ark, how exactly do you expect me to value your opinion? But, other articles are much better, and I actually am forced to admit that some aspects of the movie are wrong and should have stuck closer to the book. … I think I might write a longer post about it someday. Good choice on the Bday present, Kev.
