but I’ve been reminded of some traditions recently … fun to remember …
My brother and I used to pore over the Sears catalog — until the pages were tattered — initialing all the toys and things that we wanted Santa to bring us …
My dad goes to Las Vegas every year to watch football … just one of those ‘dad’ things that I took for granted growing up … it turns out everybody’s dad doesn’t do that …
My family used to come to Phx every year during the week between Christmas and New Years — stay at different houses, see all the family and friends we could, live out of a suitcase … now that we’re ‘grown up’ and working and have our own families and things that week is no longer sacred to holiday festivities …

Hey… speaking of your brother, I have been thinking about him all morning for some reason. I woke up and he was the first thing to pop into my head. I am praying for his time in Washington, and that he is safe… Shawn and I also poured over the sears catalog. My mom has a really funny story about the sears catalog… you should ask her… hehe
Dad and I both have the week between Christmas and New Year’s off this year. If you guys want to take off we could go visit some relatives and friends or maybe go to the snow for a few days! I’d love to be able to keep that week sacred forever.
