Last year, we got our wedding cake(s) from Let Them Eat Cake … and built into the price was a ‘complimentary 1st anniversary’ cake .. … so, rather than freeze the top of the cake and keep it for a year (which Andrew and I would not do), all we do is call and they make whatever cake we want! ….

Great choice on flavors! We froze our cake and it was NOT very good a year later. This new “modern” take on the tradition is a much better idea.
