Last year, we got our wedding cake(s) from Let Them Eat Cake … and built into the price was a ‘complimentary 1st anniversary’ cake .. … so, rather than freeze the top of the cake and keep it for a year (which Andrew and I would not do), all we do is call and they make whatever cake we want! ….
Nice way to extend the anniversary ….

Great choice on flavors! We froze our cake and it was NOT very good a year later. This new “modern” take on the tradition is a much better idea.

Yum…fresh cake beats ‘year-old frozen cake’ every single time! I’m a carrot cake fan myself, but would have had a bite of yours if offered! =)
