American Dreams

I cry a little every time I think about this show …

American Dreams …

I have this thing for the 1960s in America …. I don’t know what it is … a definite fascination … this show fulfilled that craving for a ‘period peice’ … and the 60s …

and it made me cry every single epsiode …

that is not an exaggeration.

Each episode was an hour (minus commercials) and something about the choice of music (like Otis Redding ‘A Change is Gonna Come’) and the characters and … something … I cried every time …

And now I cry because the show is no longer on the air, and stupid NBC has not yet released seasons 2 or 3 on DVD … understandably going to be expensive because of the time (the first season is 6 discs) and the rights to the songs … but I will pay it …

so sad …

I want to cry right now just looking at this picture …

want to read more?

    I LOVED American Dreams!!!
I had a huge crush on the guy that worked in the record shop… that wore glasses…
I would love the whole DVD set!

the reason I loved the show sooo much was that their family matched up to the ages of my family in the 60′s.
I was the little boys age when Kennady was shot…
I had sisters in high school that would have gone to Vietnam, had they been boys.
So yes, I too cried during every show…
    LOVED the music!
